Counselor’s Chair is a distinguished ISO-certified (ISO 9001:2015) organization dedicated to providing holistic mental health services and counseling, established in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Founded and led by Dr. Harshika Pareek (PhD), a seasoned psychologist and mental health advocate.

Services Offered by Counselor’s Chair

Counselor’s Chair provides evidence-based therapy and counseling in online, offline and hybrid mode for a wide range of psychological concerns, including but not limited to: Anxiety and depression, Adolescent and Adult mental health, Symptom Management Sessions for Bipolar & OCD, Relationship and Marital Problems, Body Image and Self Esteem Issues, Family Adjustments, Trauma Healing.

Counselor’s Chair offers comprehensive internship opportunities for graduates, postgraduates, and even PhD scholars in psychology. These programs are meticulously designed to provide hands-on experience, fostering practical skills in counseling, therapeutic techniques, and mental health assessments. Interns gain exposure to real-world scenarios, preparing them for successful careers in mental health in both offline & online mode.

Counselor’s Chair regularly conducts workshops, lectures, and seminars on various aspects of mental health. These events cater to individuals, professionals, and organizations, creating awareness and promoting mental well-being.

Healing Circles, Mental Health Café Days, Mental Health Retreat and group counseling sessions are integral parts of the services provided. These gatherings create safe spaces for individuals to share experiences, find support, and foster collective healing. These events aim to reduce stigma and encourage community participation.

Counselor’s Chair designs and sells a variety of mental health tools to aid clients and practitioners alike. These tools are thoughtfully crafted to encourage self-reflection, meaningful interactions, and emotional well-being. These include: Gratitude journals, Conversation cards, Appreciation cards, Couple conversation cards, Date cards, Postcards for mental health.

Counselor's Chair offers two specialized counseling courses affiliated with ICPEM and CTAA. The six-month Diploma in Counseling and Therapy Skills provides in-depth training in psychotherapy, while the one-month Certificate in Art Therapy and Dream Exploration focuses on using art and dreams in therapy.

0ur Founder 

Dr. Harshika Pareek is a passionate psychotherapist, educator, and mental health advocate with over a decade long experience in the field. As the founder of Counselor’s Chair, an ISO-registered private counseling practice in Jaipur, she has been dedicated to creating a safe and transformative space for emotional healing since 2021.

A Gold Medalist in her postgraduate studies, Dr. Pareek earned her PhD in Psychology from the University of Rajasthan in 2017. She has continuously expanded her expertise with certifications in Counseling Skills, Art Therapy, Couple & Family Therapy, Dream Therapy, and Hypnotherapy, accredited by institutions such as the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK), Niti Ayog, ICPEM, and CTAA.

She has shaped the next generation of mental health professionals, previously serving as Head and Assistant Professor at a prestigious university (2019–2022) and currently contributing to research as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Rajasthan under the RUSA Project. She has conducted numerous mental health workshops, training programs, and psychodrama sessions, collaborating with international professionals to promote holistic well-being.

Dr. Pareek is also a published author, with works like Apostrophe: Fantasy of Romantic Reality and Healing Thoughts (Gratitude Journal), and has co-edited a special issue of the Indian Journal of Health and Well-being (2024). Her dedication has been recognized with awards such as the Nation Builder Award (2018) and the Excellence in Education Award (2017).

Harsh Barve 

Counselor

Harsh Barve, a core team member at Counselor's Chair, is a dedicated mental health professional with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a Certified Counseling Practitioner. As a Holistic Child, Adolescent and Adult Therapist, he specializes in creative interventions, integrating therapeutic storytelling and roleplay to foster emotional healing and resilience. His expertise extends to relationship counseling, where he empowers individuals and couples to navigate challenges with empathy and insight. A passionate trainer and mentor, Harsh is committed to shaping future counseling practitioners through skill-based training. As a vocal mental health advocate, he actively promotes psychological well-being and innovative therapeutic practices, making a profound impact in the field.

   

Shivika Patel

Counselor

​Shivika Patel, a core team member at Counselor’s Chair, is a highly skilled mental health professional with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and certification as a Counseling Practitioner. As an Art Therapy Specialist and expert in creative therapeutic interventions, she integrates innovative, expressive techniques to facilitate deep emotional healing. With a strong foundation in Inner Child Healing, Shivika empowers individuals to overcome emotional wounds. Her expertise in relationship conflict management enables her to guide clients toward healthier connections and effective communication. As a dedicated educator and trainer, she is committed to equipping aspiring counselors with transformative skills, making a meaningful impact in the mental health field.​

 

Ragini Vyas

Assistant Counselor

Ragini Vyas is a passionate mental health professional and a committed member of the Youth Mental Health Program. She holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and specializes in helping clients navigate interpersonal and intrapersonal challenges, build resilience, and find meaningful progress. With experience in crisis intervention, she provides compassionate and timely support to individuals in distress. She takes a client-centered approach and adopts an eclectic therapeutic style, integrating interventions based on individual needs. Influenced by Positive Psychology, she helps clients recognize their strengths, cultivate positive emotions, and enhance well-being. As a dedicated mental health advocate, she creates a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard and valued while equipping them with practical tools for self-growth.​

Safiya Firdos

Assistant Counselor

Safiya Firdos is a dedicated mental health professional who strongly advocates for normalizing emotional and psychological care, viewing it as essential and routine as tending to one's physical health. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, she brings a solid academic foundation to her practice, coupled with a compassionate and holistic approach to therapy. Safiya is also a certified Art Therapy Practitioner,  She believes that healing is not one-size-fits-all and embraces a multidimensional approach to support her clients. By combining evidence-based psychological techniques with expressive arts and client-centered strategies, she fosters a therapeutic environment that is both structured and deeply personalized. Her sessions often serve as a safe space where clients are encouraged to explore their inner worlds through dialogue, movement, and other creative expressions.  

   

Yashwi Dusad

Assistant Counselor

Yashwi is a compassionate counseling psychology professional currently pursuing a Diploma in Counseling and Therapy Skills. She is driven by a strong desire to comprehend human behavior and provide support to individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. With over a year of experience, and strong academic background she specializes in assisting clients in managing anxiety, overwhelm, and relationship dynamics. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, incorporating creative expression methods to facilitate emotional healing. She emphasizes the creation of a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued and empowered to explore their emotions. She tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal growth while providing personalized care.

Mahima Chaudhary 

Assistant Counselor

Mahima Choudhary, a core team member at Counselor's Chair, is a dedicated Counselor and Art Therapeutic Practitioner committed to fostering mental well-being through a client-centered, compassionate, and holistic approach. She seamlessly integrates traditional psychotherapy with artistic expression, helping clients explore their emotions in a safe and supportive environment. Specializing in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), she provides goal-oriented, solution-driven strategies tailored to individual needs. Mahima’s adaptability ensures that each client receives personalized care, empowering them to navigate challenges with confidence. Beyond individual counseling, she is deeply passionate about mental health education, conducting workshops and mentoring aspiring counselors.

Deeply passionate about mental health awareness, Swastika helps individuals navigate challenges like stress, anxiety, and self-doubt with sensitivity and care. With a strong understanding of human emotions and a commitment to personal growth, she empowers clients to embrace their healing journeys with confidence and hope.



 

Lieke Hulshof

Wellness Facilitator

Lieke Hulshof, also known as Leela Louise, is a wellness facilitator and intuitive artist who blends creative expression with emotional healing. With a background in science and holistic living, she offers a unique, integrative approach to counseling that centers on mindfulness, empathy, and self-discovery. Now based in India, Lieke supports individuals through therapeutic art, retreats, and one-on-one sessions—helping them navigate emotions, reconnect with themselves, and build resilience through creativity and presence. Her work invites people to slow down, tune in, and heal through the power of intention, nature, and artistic flow.
